About MENA Digital Summer School 2024 Scholarship:

The digital summer school is organized for the middle east and north African students by the Candid Foundation incorporated with the following bodies-

The North-Rhine Westphalia chancellery
The Fern Universitat in Hagen
Einstein Centre Digital Future situated in Berlin
The Leading distance Learning University in Germany and
The Digital Arabia Network (DAN).

The program targets young and promising innovators in digital transformation, particularly from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The students will be lectured by well-qualified lecturers in academic fields including executive management and applied sciences.

The lectures will however be related to the digitization problems faced by the MENA region and how to overcome the challenges.

Aims and Objectives of the MENA Summer Program:

The MENA digital summer school is aimed to address and tackle issues concerning the degradation of digitization in the Middle East and North Africa.
The summer school is initiated in other to put an end to this societal menace by proffering an innovative, thorough, and promising solution to this digitization challenge.
Students who are experts in digital transformation will be educated and inspired in this program.

Eligibility Criteria:

The following criteria are expected to be met by applicants to be eligible for the MENA digital summer school scholarship-

The applicant must be a young entrepreneur and a graduate student between the ages of 20-40 years.
Applicants must be able to show promising talent in their specialized fields.
Applicants for the MENA digital summer school 2024 scholarship must be a citizen and currently reside in any one of the following countries listed as follows: Mauritania, Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Djibouti, Comoros, Member states of the GCC and the Palestinian territories.
Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of working experience in the relevant fields.
To be an eligible candidate for this program, you must have an impressive knowledge of the English language (a minimum of 105 TOEFL results, IELTS, or other equivalents).
You must be able to provide proof of every document upon request.
Applicants for this scholarship are expected to have an idea of projects relating to digital innovation.
Candidates must have a clear and convincing understanding of the complexities and interactions of digitization in various fields like economy, technology, civil society, and public administration.
