About the AIMS Structured Master’s in Mathematical Sciences Scholarships
-The AIMS Structured Masters program is one of first Africa’s platforms in Mathematical Sciences. It was originally formulated to help orientate and improve the understanding of Basic and Advanced Sciences by the continent’s youth, in order for them to be able to solve both the future and present Scientific related problems within and beyond the continent. Students’ understanding is tested through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education.
-AIMS South Africa is one of the great platforms for training, research, and public engagement in the country.
-It was established in 2003 and was a jointly executed project by the 6 universities listed below
Cambridge, Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Oxford, Western Cape, and Paris Sud XI.
How to apply for AIMS scholarship: Eligibility Criteria
- The January intake of the AIMS Structured Masters in Mathematical Sciences is available to students studying following the South African calendar (January-December). Greater preference will be given to South African nationals
- Applicants must have posses, or at the verge of completing counting from the start date of the AIMS course, a 4 years university degree in Mathematics , or any science or engineering component with a significant mathematics component. An Applicant must posses and must be able to demonstrate strong aptitude in mathematics.
